MISSION The mission of Women’s Ministries is to touch the lives of women and girls by the transforming power of Jesus Christ, discipling them to follow His example, and training them to minister to others.

Touch...Disciple...Train 

 GOALS  To minister to every woman according to her need through prayer groups, Bible studies, and a variety of Ministry Groups in Word of Life 

·          To help each woman find her personal place of ministry by involving her in some aspect of ministry, helping her to be personally involved in fulfilling the Great Commission.                                                                                                    

         Women of faith must bind together in prayer and support and be dedicated to the spreading of the gospel and the love of Jesus Christ. 

        Missions has been the purpose of Women’s Ministries since its beginning. At Word of Life many opportunities are given for women to be involved in every level of missionary outreach. 

 MINISTRY OPPORTUNITIES                                                                          

Bible Study - Weekly Bible studies are offered on Wednesday nights

 Food/Bereavement Ministry- Prepares meals for special occasions and provides meals for the sick/recovering and for bereaved families. 

Outreach Ministry- Matthew 28:19-20 Women reaching out to others and sharing the Gospel of Jesus Christ.   Contact Anne Lawerence  gwip6040@aol.com 

Hospitality Ministry- Designed for ladies who enjoy serving as a hostess, whether greeting women at the door, serving at the buffet table, or collecting offerings

 Mentoring Ministry- Based on Titus 2:3-5...mature Christian women take responsibility for supporting the spiritual growth and development of younger Christian women within Word of Life.   Contact  Maureen Alberts  Mentor Ministries   m.mcintoshalberts@verizon.net

Prayer Ministry- Prayer Chain teams who pray for special needs and request. Contact Sue Gearheart  rockytop712@yahoo.com.

Communication Team-  Woman networking with each other to reach out and welcome new woman to our church family, and to provide information about WM teams and events. 

Missionettes Leader- Women ministering to girls through Missionettes literature, arts and crafts, retreats, and many other ministry opportunities.  Contact Cheryl Furman   thefurmans@cox.net
