Festival of the King
opens 12.11.09

Imagine a King who stepped down from his throne.
In order to be with his people.

To become like them.  One of them.
Common.  Weak.  Human.

But still King.

What kind of King does this?

Festival of the King

Festival of the King is a Christmas celebration like no other! Inspired by Old Testament tribal festivals, and with a decidedly Lion King-like quality, Festival of the King is a dynamic Christmas celebration for all ages.  This dramatic musical presents the birth of Christ in a simple, but moving way.  The actors occasionally step out of character in a sometimes humorous way that brings identification and contemporary relevance to the story.

Festival of the King will be presented as the second part of a dinner theatre in two parts.  Before the main event begins, the first part will feature entertaining dramatic sketches and festive music of the season in various styles.

Festival of the King will open on Friday, December 11, 2009 in the Word of Life chapel.  Currently scheduled showings are:

  • Friday, December 11 @ 7:30 p.m.
